Separate suits by color Posted by hhilbert (VIP) Dec 28 2006 8:55PM WEB - would it be possible to separate the card suits (alternating colors) into black - red - black - red; spades - hearts - clubs - diamonds or vice versa? Red/red - black/black is never the way to hold cards in one's hand. You can move the cards in your hand Posted by webmaster (moderator) Dec 28 2006 9:15PM Starting Aug, 2006: During their turn to move, cribbage players can now sort (move) the cards in their hands by dragging the cards. Note: you can't drag any card beyond the rightmost card or leftmost card. If you do that, the dragged card would return to its original position. Suit colors Posted by jethrotulll (VIP) Dec 29 2006 4:29PM While this may be true when first starting out playing cards to keep track of your cards when learning, this should not be employed in advanced play. If you find a pone who sorts his cards my rank or suit then that can give you an advantage in the play. i.e. if you know the highest card he just played was a 9 because it was the farthest to the left as he holds it, then you can play accordingly. Just a thought. i will have to watch Posted by AWC_Saxman (VIP) Jan 22 2007 12:53PM astute indeed! Another thing that I always watch for is a player turning card upside down. The only card that doesnt look exactly the same upside down is the ace of spades ( bicycle 88 cards anyway). So If I see a play turn cards upside down I look for this. |
