Statistics on play

In my journey to master golf or any sport for that matter, measurement feedback and coaching is so important. Has there been any discussion or efforts to establish? For example on stats: Total meld for a game, Meld average per hand, Total play points per hand, I am sure there are those who know the game better than I that should/could identify and be monitored. On the coaching issue: 1. What if players with great performance history(moojus)could enter a non-ticket match and coach for a TIX fee say of 3 to 10 TIX's? It seems that any effort to improve player performance only helps solidify and grow the community of cribbage players. Your thoughts??

I appreciate you singling me out. There are many great players here. OneStar and his wife Sharri are top of the best lifetime players in the ACC. From a personal perspective, I usually do NOT respond to the 'You are invited' box by folks I do not know. When you see me, I am either playing or have created a TIX table. That being said, If I see you ask me from the lobby (the chat area in the Main Room) and I am not actively in a game, I will play you. No tix needed. I will shut down my open table and play you. I will gladly share pointers with you at not charge. Not everyone agrees with my suggestions, but that will be your choice. Happy Pegs, Bob 'Moojus' Milk

IMO and many others, although statistics may be meaningful, at the end of the day, you can only play the cards dealt. What you can gain from cribbing is important, but the majority of points will come from your hand. A different perspective from accross the pond maybe. Good cribbin my friend
