Java, apps and the 21st century Posted by JiggyBolls (VIP) Dec 8 2012 8:23AM i know apple will never tolerate Java and thus cannot access it on my ipad. i see on android (google nexus is my next little "take to the loo" toy as the ipad is a two hander...read what you want into that!) cannot access either... but am thinking there must be a way round this whereas it is a no go with apple products. so question - can android tablets use java and also does gamecolony have otherwise, if this fails, app available for ALL its games and so one can enter tournaments and such? Gamecolony and apps for Android and Apple's iOS Posted by webmaster Dec 8 2012 8:50AM Gamecolony already offers its first apps for mobile devices. For Android phones and tablets, we have 2 very popular apps that fully support tournaments and ladder: Backgammon GC and Dominoes GC. Dominoes GC app is even offerred in 2 languages: English and Spanish. Currently Gin and Cribbage apps for Android are in development. For Apple, we currently offer 2 comprehensive iPad apps: Gin Rummy GC and Cribbage Live. There is also a non-full-featured Backgammon Live for iPad. iPhone apps are under development We are committed to developing and supporting all of our popular games on Android and iOS. |
