Why,can anyone answer ??? Posted by Robin09 (VIP) Sep 12 2006 5:31PM Why,or is it me,it seems that most players now always want to play 1 canasta. Please correct me if i am wrong but 1 canasta rely's on the dealer and less on the skill of the player. One Canasta Posted by BlueSun (VIP) Sep 12 2006 8:54PM I think no matter what version of canasta you play it is more skill than luck---most of the time. If you are a good player, it may be aggravating to get cards that just don't fall right, but if you play well, you can win. What matters more, perhaps, is the total points being played. You need at least enough total points so that several hands can be played. Then, a player has an opportunity to recoop on a less than desirable hand, especially at the beginning of a game. For me, playing is what I enjoy. Of course, winning is great, but you can't win all of the time. SO I take the good with the bad. I just love to play. :):):) BlueSun i agree Posted by Robin09 (VIP) Sep 14 2006 5:38PM Thanks for your opinion, yes to enjoy the game is most important, and you cannot win every game,i just think that 1 canasta is more luck of the cards and more and more players seem to want to play 1 canasta just lately, and i wondered why. When i first started to play on here most players seemed to play 2 canasta. Posted by Mazda626 Sep 25 2006 3:49AM I enjoy 1 canasta more but will play 2 nastas. One is just a bit faster if u dont have a lot of time. Hi jet Posted by MightBeTime_xyi (VIP) Sep 30 2006 7:38PM I agree with u completely. I don't enjoy one canasta and rarely play it. It is more luck of the wilds as u can go out fast without any planning if u get wilds. Also seems to be less chance of a comeback if u fall behind because of the ease of going out. Some players tell me they prefer it but those don't seem to be tournament players as one canasta tournaments seem to be 4 players or fewer. It is good for variety it seems. Many play both. Posted by watonga Oct 2 2006 1:26AM I agree with wolf, it is mostly a time thing. |
