why is it that people say to you GG before the game is even complete!! . i have had too many people say that to me recently. some say it only 2 balls potted into the game. i know they are using this to put off the opponent but it is not fair. after each game when the final ball is potted is the only time it should be said. from now on anyone who does this to me i will disallow the chat.
don't get me wrong, i will quite happily have a laugh with everyone and i don't even mind a message getting sent to me just before i play a shot, just not the 'GG'
HOPE OTHERS AGREE TO STOP THIS RUBBISH!!

Ahh come on; Some of us can see when there is a likely scenario for a run out, hence the 'GG' comment.

Thanks rikkib! Now I know I'm not the only one. It's the rudest thing I have ever seen. I've missed dozens of times after my opponent has said that. And then the following game they go and do it again! LOL. Makes ya wonder what people are thinking...

Thanks for bringing it up in the forum. Hopefully people will stop doing it. 'GG' is meant for AFTER the game!

fair enough andy, i have no problem with someone waying gg if it is clearly obvious that it will be cleared, but it's like saying good shot before you hit a ball in golf...some people are saying that when it is nowhere near over.... maybe its just me airing my pet hate with this excellent set up

Please accept my sincere apologies, for I am guilty of this. You are all fine players, so much better than I. But, believe me, I meant no harm. I have said this, when, the outcome is evident, although pros miss-play also. So I have learned a valuable lesson, and will no longer say 'gg' before the game is complete. I appreciate learning from everyone, so if you leave to fast when the game is complete, you will miss the GG from me.

I think I know what you are trying to say. Please correct me if I am wrong.

When an Opposing player states GG or gg to me prior to the end of the game or even prior to the potential game ending shot, then it could be conceived as Psych Out.

I see it as the opponent attempting to get inside your head and make you over confident.

We all should know that when we become over confident, we often miss shots or lose games.

If I hit the 'Nail on the Head,' of what 'rikkib' is trying to say,
THEN I STRONGLY AGREE WITH HIM.

Although, after time we all will train ourselves to ignore it.
ALSO . . . .
I have noticed that players start to chat excessively and ask mass amounts of questions when I am on the final shot of my game. Again I see this as an attempt to Psych Me Out. It happens Once, Okay, Twice I then might disallow the chat feature.

AFTER JUST COMPLETING A GAME IN WHICH I LOST TO A PLAYER, (not named), HE TOLD ME GGS AS ABOUT THE TIME I SHOT TO POT THE 8, IT WAS A DISTRACTION! NEEDLESS TO SAY I LOST THE MATCH. PLAYERS DON'T OFTEN CHAT UNTIL YOU ARE ABOUT TO MAKE A CRUIAL OR GAME WINNING SHOT. IT IS BOLOGNA! I THINK THE GAME SERVERS SHOULD HOLD ANY & ALL CHAT MESSAGENING UNTIL A BALL IS POTTED OR A SHOT IS COMPLETED!

I don't play pool, but can understand the problem of chat being a ploy to make you lose your concentration. Or maybe some just like to chat more and it would be a problem. BUT ... isn't that what the preferences are for? Last one is 'disallow chat'.

I would suggest this preference be used by those that lose their concentration during games when chat is used whether it be GG or anything else. Opinions?

hi pegasus,

part of playing pool is chatting away to people which i have absolutely no problem with, i do have a problem with people saying gg before the game is finished.. simple as that.
to disable the chat would not make the game as interesting, how do the other players feel?thanks

this is the most dumbest thing I have heard of, I don't do it but it some player says GG before the end of the game does that 'make' you miss your shot? NO!!! If you do not want chat, disallow it from the start. There is also a feature /m(whatever name) that mutes them. Don't blame someone saying gg on your loss. JMO

I have to agree 100% with debisue, i don't think that people like me that says gg towards the end of a game means anything else than 'you played good, the game was good, and u deserve it ', theres nothing else to it; and besides the fact that i say gg will not make you miss your shot. Therefore, i think you should blame your skills and not your polite opponent.

hey y'all! well i think everyone is right.its done to get inside the others head at times and at other times its done cause its over with the next shot.
BUT if the player misses that shot they should'nt be mad at the other when they just blew it.

Sorry I strongly disagree with most of you. If a message appears before your final shot, ignore it. Take the shot then read it, or read it and then take your shot. A 'gg' to you does not make you miss your shot. Rather than blame it on the other player, blame it on.....either bad luck or your skills.

head games is what it is....players do it to get your head swollen and then players become careless thinking they have the easy win. It is a concentration breaker. You all need to build a bridge and get over it!

te he he... i may not know everything but some players like to mess with your head in an attempt to get your wheels going!

just do what cnagry says close your eyes, you'll probably make the shot anyways, since most have more luck than others!

I, will continue to say gg, when it is apparent, AND before my competion kicks my ____, and RUNS out of the room! LOL!

If they need and excuse to leave without being a good sport...SO BE IT!

sorry to all who don't like the 'gg' comment before the actual last ball is pocketed....i know i say it sometimes but its only because i think i know a player is skilled enough to sink a simple ball near a side pocket or an inch away from corner on rail....i dont say it ever with intensions to interrupt a player....it doesn't bother me a bit but i will try my best to think of those request of you players that dont appreciate that comment till the end of game....ty, gg
