Come on Players

Let us all remember that this site is a family site. And that we all adults...Let us all remember good sportsmanship....If you feel someone has been rude to you, don't be rude back with statements that should be kept to yourself, just say gg, gl, tyfp, or something nice. Perhaps that will rub off....Let us remember that all cultures play here. Be respectful of each other and stop the name calling. We are all here to have fun, whether you are a tix player or not. This is a game, that, of course, will have a winner and a loser; not one person I know, likes to lose. So pick up your ego and go on and practice, or perhaps play that player again. The next time you might prevail.....but by all means HAVE FUN AND PRACTICE GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP, AND ABOVE ALL, BE ADULT ABOUT IT.

I agree with everything you said Diane - everyone needs to remember that GC is like family - and you know what? Family doesn't HAVE to like each other OR get along ALL the time.....but we do need to respect one another and try our best to treat each other accordingly. Also important to remember that when someone is having a bad day they may be misdirecting anger or sadness at you - it isn't necessarily PERSONAL.......sometimes what they need more than a quick retort is a kind and friendly word.......let's remember the Golden Rule at GC - do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Not the opposite way around.....we cannot always control other peoples ACTIONS, but we are always in control of our REactions.......Love you all!!!!

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
