TIME EXPIRED, POOL GAME SHOULD BE OVER!

I wish that when time expires, the player is out. Why is it that they get extended time after the clock runs out. Some players are really rude and want to take up all the time because they know time will continue after experation. I feel at times they do this on purpose. Look, time is time, when it runs out, your out period! Lets go GC fix it please!

A Story Behind the Times...

There are 2 issues here:
(1) The times that you see displayed are your local time-related - this is for your reference only. The real time spent is determined by the server.
At times when connection from your location to GameColony servers is slow, there is a visible difference in local time spent & server time spent.

(2) For the first 3 times after time-per-move expires, the player who let his/her time-per-move expire keeps receiving warnings. During these 3 times this player, however, gets some additional time. After the 3rd time-per-move expiration, no additional time is given. Occasionally, however, it may take up to additional 15 seconds on the part of the server to act regarding time-per-move expiration.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
