If you play a game set for 'Ladder', the
game is recorded on the ladder. You can create a ladder game from the options available on table settings or you can join a table already set for ladder. The registration for ladder is automatic once you have played a ladder game and/or tournament.
The top players on ladder each month win real cash awards.
On the Pool main page please click the 'ladder' tab on the left hand side of the page. From there open the 'rules' section as you will be able to read the full text.

When you win against a higher ranked player, your rank goes up half the way between their rank and your former rank. If you lose to a player who is ranked more than one level below you, your rank will NOT change If you lose to a player who is ranked directly below you, your ranks will switch places If you lose to a player who is ranked above you, your rank will not go down at all. When other players beat people above you and jump over you in rank you will slide down (there are also special rules for players ranked in the Top Twenty --

According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
