FIRST TIME FOR ME
Posted by

Ya know? We all have to start somewhere, don't we. So.....Last night I got up the courage to log on to ONLINE canasta & attempted to play a game. Didn't do too badly until I mouse clicked incorrectly (or something like that) & rally loused up our game. Don't recall opponent's name but s/he was very gracious in allowing me to quit. Now, my question is how do I find a 'Training Game' &/or a 'Trainer' to teach me the ropes? I CAN play canasta, just need to know the mechanics. Really like the layout & looking forward to playing.

GR8-Thanks for the offer. Been looking for you but haven't seen you playing. Played a couple of games last evening & also got some help earlier today from PEGASUS. Primarily, I needed advise on keeping the game moving because this computer canasta is not the same as live play at the kitchen table. Will be watching for you.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
