Question on passing
Posted by 2 Nov 2004 5:45pm

I was in a position that I had to pass my discard. My opponet was able to pick up the pile on two occasions when this happened. Both times they were the opponets discard that allowed them to pick up the pile. Is there a way to avoid this? It seems when you are stuck and they know it, they can discard a card then retrieve it and the whole pile on the next turn.

yes u can stop this if u make game to be froze and need 2 in hand to pick up .if game is open discard meaning that u need no cards in hand a play can be pick up with having aplay on board. to stop tjhis u need a black 3 witch cannot be pick up .or by freezeing the pile by placing a wild card on it a 2 or joker then u need two in hand to pick up pile

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
