Thanks to all that helped test this fun game.

With all new games - come new players. We would greatly appreciate your presence in the Canasta Main Hall for opening day. There are sure to be questions on the game and the GC site, in general. We want our players to feel at home. You can make the difference to newbies that have questions on disconnects, help (contact us) and how to set or join a table.

Major Problems with 'continue'

Hi Webmaster

Great game by the way - but there is something not quite right.

I have found this on 3 separate occasions today - all at different times in the day - that when I have played out my hand and finished all my cards, winning the hand - the table prompts me to press 'continue',I have won and the table shows me all the cards left in the opponent's hand... (so far so good)

However, my opponent then tells me they have 'frozen' and they reconnect to the table (presumably through 'cancel' and then 'reconnect to the game' window)- the table then allows them to continue playing their hand, and instructs ME to take more cards from the discard pile.

I had clearly finished my hand already - there were no cards left to play, on all 3 occasions.

I think there may be a problem.. perhaps someone could check it out??

Apart from that - a really great game!

Cheers

Love Rakia

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
