It really irks me that if your score is not in the upper range that you just automatically block,not play others with a less score…WTH isn’t thx just a friendly game? No way, wow they treat you as of the world depends upon whom they play

Been hammered to death, rating really only show current form and mean little, but players with high rating will not play anyone with what they consider to be inferior ratings.

Perhaps you could take a look at the hundreds of posts on here regarding this topic and how you might want to approach the subject in the future. If you want games to play, then play with people who have scores LESS than you or play VIP tix games. Both of those types of players will play you all the time.

But the problem still arises if a player does not want to play for tix. If they only want to play a game and not play for tickets, the higher rated players will not play. I am still at a loss as to why, after so many "complaints" we still have a rating system which reduces by a huge amount if you play a lower rated player, which against the same player you could win the next 2 games and still not be up to your original rating. That, IMO, is why high rated players will not play lowere rated players.

It’ a not chess, ratings shouldn’t mean that much to a player. I get it tho, it’s fun and adds to challenge, BUT play a lower rating guy once in a blue moon, every 20 gams whatever. Thrill for lower rating player, and pride and risk for higher guy. The app has an atmosphere of elitism and division and adds frustration for all as a result

the problem of higher rated players not playing lower ones could be easily overcome. Just highlight everybody's win/loss percentage. Guarantee nobody would waste time sitting around waiting for the right player for them.

Why does the site even bother with a ratings system, it means nothing. This is highlighted by players who have a rating of over 2600 & have losy more games than they have won.

According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
